A Day At The Park

On Saturday Jason and I took the kids to the park. The one across the street from our house i guess is the only one with swings that babies can swing in. and it has an awesome playground and tennis court. so we took them down there and let elliot swing for a few minutes, but my camera kept dying so i didn't get any swinging picutures. so we got some of her and sadie out on the tennis courts:)

yay for gooey pumpkins!!

about a week before halloween jason,elliot,sadie, and i went over to my aunts house to carve pumpkins. and since elliot had never done this before, her being barely over one and all, i thought we could go and try it. well she thought it was disgusting. and didn't like it one bit. i had to beg jason to carve a pumpkin cause he was addicted to some old school game my aunt bought somewhere that you have to spread the metal bars to get the ball to move and drop in to a certain hole. well i scooped out the pumpkin and everything and all he did was carve a sideways face (which if you don't watch aqua teen hunger force you wont know who it is:) but atleast i got him away from that game. and my cousin jacquelyn's husband brian carved the little baby one with elliot. i am aware we have another kid but we forgot to make her a pumpkin. ha ha. oh well. we had so much fun and are so excited to have started the holidays on such a good note:)

JUST AN UPDATE

i figured since i haven't gotten on here for a while i should update everyone (all 3 people, if that) that my life is really boring right now. ha ha. well elliots learning so much i swear she's a genius. she's doing really well with manners, except with the good comes the bad and she has been taught be some unknown other child (actually it's my little 3 year old sister, :) to pull hair and slap and she thinks it's so funny. when we moved to b-town earlier this month, my mom gave her hallies old toddler bed which she's taken to quite nicely. most of the time if she's tired she gets her bottle of water and climbs up and falls asleep. or she just falls asleep wherever:) the doctor said once we took her out of her crib there would be no more naps but she still takes 2 a day, awesome.

and then there is Sadie. she is a smiler, except when i want to take pictures:) but Elliot is warming up to her alot better than in the beginning. she's always giving her kisses and hugs and always wants to hold her, so today i let her hold her little sister...

oh and Elliot is getting all 4 of her 1 year molars in at the same time. she is so clingy and whiny, and Sadie just sits and takes everything in. I also took another picture of sadie today and realized how much different she looks from when she was born. my second baby and it still amazes me:)

my family rocks! i have an awesome husband, and two absolutely perfect, beautiful, well-behaved (right now) little girls. what more could i ask for, besides a bigger house, a dog, a flatscreen tv, a new car, new clothes.....just kidding:)

I went on a road trip cross country to drop my sister off in New York! it was fun. for the most part:) i had to leave my girls and jason at home. I missed them sooo much. i would only do it again if i had my family!!

We blessed Sadie on Sep 1, 2008. it was fun of course, everyone came over to my tiny house and hung out in my tiny back yard:) i hate putting on get togethers. just not my thing so this was hard for me, even though it was such a tiny one. when everyone came to the church (all of my family and a pretty good amount of jason's came) and there were still a ton of seats left. now if we were in bountiful that wouldn't have been the case:) my step dad said he looked down when he was blessing her and she had the biggest grin the whole time. my girls are so freakin cute!

i just have to say how incredibly funny my oldest daughter is!! she's just hilarious. she dances when she can hear just the slightest beat. and it's not just any dance, it's the ELAINE dance!! i probably should put a movie up of it but i don't have one yet:) and she does this thing where she clenches her fists and grits her teeth all while watching herself in the mirror and then laughing at herself. okay i'm done ranting! ha ha.

NEW BABY!

we had our new baby on aug 12th at 9:55 am. we named her Sadie Liadan Grainger. Sadie, after jasons favorite alkaline trio song. And Liadan, which means "grey lady" and is irish. and i have a lot of family that's from cape cod in massechusets and Nantucket is an island off the coast of the cape, and they call it "the grey lady". i know, six degrees of separation but it works:) Her big sister Elliot is having a little trouble getting used to her but most of the time only wants to help with her. And her personality has only blossomed (she was hilarious before but now she's just gut busting)

not long but seems like forever

i just started this blog thing. my good friend rachel gilsen told me about it so i'm going to try it for a while. i will first tell you all about my family.... my husbands name is jason and my name is britany. jason is a plumber, he does commercial but if you need something done in your house he can and will probably fix it. we have a 12 1/2 month old named elliot, she is the most amazing thing that has ever happened, we both agree! she's so fricken adorable, and has so much personality. it's hard to ever be mad at her, and i have a hard time putting her to bed cause i want to play with her some more:) we are expecting another little girl in about a week and a half, on aug 12th precisely. and we couldn't be more excited. some people think we are crazy, i say yes we are, but that's the way we like it! that's about all i have for today, i have to go shower cause we are going to the ALKALINE TRIO show tonight, i'm excited about that too!!
